Nearly 135 days after Russell Martin's first press conference as the club's manager, successor the German coach faced the media at Rangers' stadium for the first time.

The magnitude of the challenge ahead of him is widely recognized, considering Martin's turbulent and disappointing 123-day spell.

The former Sheffield Wednesday manager was accompanied by chairman Andrew Cavenagh, along with the much-criticized duo of football director Kevin Thelwell and chief executive Stewart.

However, what precisely was revealed from the 36-year-old coach's first public appearance as the club's manager?

The Manager's Main Priority - Winning Comes First

One thing emerged clearly from the new coach's first appearance in front of the Scottish media - he recognizes the need to win matches, and achieve this quickly.

His predecessor Martin managed just 17 games and 123 days as manager, so the inquiry arose about how long Rohl believes is reasonable to turn around the underperforming squad.

Although deftly avoiding a direct answer that could bring later expectations, Rohl's message was very evident.

"Hopefully as soon as possible," he stated. "That is essential.
"In football you have limited opportunity. One can talk about future plans but we know it concerns immediate results and that period involves winning games. This is what I demand.
"One thing is also obvious - I require all players to understand our intended to play. I return to my main message: it's winning, it's attractive and it's together. By following this order, I believe that I will remain for years here."

Expectations are Standard

Martin required a police escort to leave the Falkirk Stadium after his last match as manager.

We've witnessed how hostile situations can turn at football clubs when performances are poor. Protests have nearly become an expected part of game day experience on each part of Glasgow these days.

As Rangers' youngest manager in history, the inquiry was posed about which attributes the coach thinks he has that would enable him to cope, never mind thrive, in among the most pressurized positions in UK soccer?

"I think pressure in this business is normal," he commented. "You must learn that very quickly.
"I think certain individuals could reference my age but I'm a decade and a half on this path. I had a great chance to be at the German club and serve as just the assistant coach, but I felt the reality to manage a team and the demands involved.
"You begin getting results and then certain people will say you must play attractive soccer. That's the next stage but precisely what I want. I enjoy those expectations and I look forward about the future."

The Sporting Director Explains Chermiti Signing & Appointing His Son

Kevin Thelwell media conference

There were numerous questions from journalists directed at Thelwell.

Much discussion has concerned the hiring of Robbie Thelwell as head of recruitment, with fans skeptical about his credentials for the role.

Nevertheless, he defended and explained the decision to bring Thelwell Jnr to the club.

"It's always uncomfortable to hear and in appearance I believe everyone understood when we took this step to hire him that he would be viewed in a particular way," Thelwell stated.
"The reality of the situation is that we want to attract the very best players here.
"My perspective on his professional path and background is he didn't need my assistance in soccer.
"He served at Aston Villa as a senior scout, after which he joined Norwich as scouting chief and then was elevated to development role.
"Prior to our hiring him, two Premier League clubs sought to acquire him. Our approach right at the start of the process was discuss with Patrick, Andrew and vice-chairman Paraag Marathe about this situation.
"I remained extremely transparent and I think he likely experienced a stricter procedure than anybody else who's employed by the team.
"What I do know is that he will work constantly to be successful for Rangers and I'm looking forward seeing him demonstrating that he'll become a valuable staff member for Rangers."

Additionally, Thelwell supported the signing of striker Youssef Chermiti, who joined Rangers for an alleged initial fee of eight million pounds, having failed to find the net in 24 games for his previous club.

The sporting director who transferred the Portuguese youth international to Liverpool from Sporting Lisbon - again for large funds in a fifteen million pound transfer.

The question came if he stands by his multi-million pound purchase, who hasn't yet score in seven outings for Rangers.

"Yes, completely," Thelwell answered. "I think Youssef Chermiti is a player who's got huge potential.
"I've never doubted him whatsoever. Similarly, I believe the manager will assist in maximize the potential out of Youssef.
"It's very initial stages for the young player, he's a young talent and of course with inexperienced players they occasionally require patience.
"But I'm certain over the course of his time here he'll demonstrate that he is highly capable footballer."

Stewart Acknowledges Fan Disappointment and Anger

The chief executive was in the media firing line, considering the vitriol that has been directed at him by some of the club's own supporters.

Additionally, there was a sign in the Sandy Jardine stand during the last tie with Dundee United suggesting him - and the sporting director - to pack his bags before being removed for them.

Similar to the football director, the CEO did not avoid the issue.

"I totally appreciate the disappointment and hurt that fans are experiencing because results this season haven't been good enough and nobody's happy with those," he stated.
"The pain and disappointment they feel is mirrored inside the boardroom.
"Recognize that there must exist an outlet for that dissatisfaction and as chief executive, that's me.
"I'm a lightning rod for those and my responsibility as a
